What we're all about

Tobacco Free Southwest PA is dedicated to preventing and reducing tobacco use and increasing education about tobacco hazards and secondhand smoke. The best way to be tobacco free is to never start.

Tobacco kills more than 400,000 people per year in the United States or more than the total number killed by AIDS, alcohol, motor vehicles, homicide, illegal drugs, and suicide combined. Treatment and knowledge is paramount to saving lives. We serve Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Somerset, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

Our Goals

  • Prevent initiation of tobacco use among youth and young adults.
  • Promote quitting among youth and adults.
  • Eliminate the exposure to secondhand smoke.
  • Identify and eliminate tobacco related health disparities.

Tobacco Free Southwest PA uses these goals in local prevention programs.
